![]() Ladders can be placed on all five floor and ceiling boxes if there is an adjacent Seabase module to connect.Windows can be placed on all eight of the side-panels.Hatches can be placed on all eight of the side-panels.The Multipurpose Room cannot be connected to the Large Room using a Ladder or Alien Containment Expansion The first piece of a seabase starts with +10 Integrity, thus if a Multipurpose Room is the first piece built it gets +10 - 1.25, or 1.8 (rounded) at surface depth. Multipurpose Rooms can be stacked vertically, with the player able to build ladders inside to access multiple floors.Įvery Multipurpose Room added to a seabase reduces the Hull Integrity by -1.25 (The game shows -1.3 because it rounds the number. When the Multipurpose Room is horizontally connected with another Seabase module, a small length of corridor is generated. It is constructed with a Habitat Builder and can be placed on top of a Foundation or it can be attached to a Seabase module. It provides a much larger space for movement than the I Compartment or the X Compartment, though much less than the Large Room. I really don't want to manually keep up with making sure I have enough power all the time. The Multipurpose Room is a Seabase Module. Depending on location I sometimes use those power transmitter things to power bases from a long distance away from a thermal vent or sunlight. I usually rock thermal for power or tons of solar panels. In another direction off my multipurpose room I'll have have my scanner room.Īnd in the final direction off my central room I'll have a multipurpose room ranging in height for containment. In another direction off of my central unit I'll have my moon pool. ![]() Going off from my central chamber I'll have another multipurpose room as my growing chamber. Walls are lined with lockers each with a sign above stating what's what.īelow my central chamber via latter is my decorative bedroom. Center of the room is a latter going up.Ībove my central multipurpose room is my multipurpose room storage for materials. Multipurpose room as a central fabrication/crafting, battery recharging, radio, and storage for commonly used tools/equipment. The next best for storage (Bioreactor) holds 500 and doesn't generate power anywhere near as fast. On top of all this, a Nuke stores 2500 energy at a time. My second playthrough, I depleted exactly one fuel rod before finishing the game. They generate power very quickly and it takes forever to deplete a single Fuel Rod, of which a Reactor holds four. My general recommendation for power generation is to use the Bioreactor until you have the ability to create a Nuke Reactor, then just stick with those. To be fair, four Nukes is a bit overkill in terms of longevity (one would easily get me through the whole game), but I like to make certain that all of my machines won't run me dry. WFMs have a huge energy requirement, and Nukes are the only power source that can keep up with them. The water room, of course, is full of Water Filtration Machines, which are powered by four Nuclear Reactors. On the opposite side of the compartment is a either a Multipurpose Room or a T-Compartment that leads to a water room and nuclear reactor rooms. The compartment houses large lockers (usually four in total) to hold whatever resources I've collected for my current crafting project. My setup is usually a Scanner with a cylindrical compartment attached to it. ![]() And below that is the storage area for excess large animals. Below that is the auxiliary breeder tank for breeding large animals. first level is water purifiers, a desk for working, a counter with equipment, and a small aquarium. ![]() It houses a radio, chargers, medkit, fabricator, backup generator, and equipment locker, as well as lockers for excess resources. I also have a dedicated two story tank for breeding either reginald or oculus. Above that is my bedroom, with a bed, gaming desk, and a bench for reading stuff. I also added a bulkhead as a vault door.Ī two story ACU which is my "collection tank". It's a couple of connectors with over thirty wall lockers filled with resources.
